Smoothies without protein or nut butter are delicious, but we find that without protein or nut butter they are not filling at all and move right through you. We never follow a recipe for making smoothies and we truly just throw whatever the heck we have laying around in a blender! People seem to have forgotten about smoothies and no one really ever makes them anymore, but they can be a very nutritious snack or on-the-go breakfast!
